This is a meditation for connecting you with your "Inner Spirit" your essence or core Self. It uses the light that is already within you as an object of focus. It's a fairly simple meditation, but is quite powerful, and potentially very deep. Please familar y ourself with the other 2 excerises before engaging this one. It is again expressed to do several cleansing breaths before doing this one. Use your "sacred space", and allow yourself some tyme alone. Sit comfortably with your eyes closed. Look at the "screen" that fills the space behind your eyelids.Gently if you fynd this helpful, hold a downward gaze. There can be particles, images, or patterns of light. Gently focus your attention on the light. Don't try to create or interpret images. Don't attempt to focus clearly. Simply look at the light with relaxed attention. If you feel as though your consciousness is shifting, or you are slipping into a dreamlike state, allow it to happen. Whatever you experience is ok. If you find you have drifted off into your thoughts, simply bring your attention back to the light. After seeing this light, slowly visualize this light encompassing you gently, starting with your head and slowly working itself down over your body. Some see this light emitting from the chest area of thier bodies, if this is you, it is ok, allow to softly cover you. After seeing this light, and / or allowing it to encompass you, slowly let it go back to where it had started. Slowly. Before you open your eyes, take several deep breaths, and exhale slowly, you will feel the calmness and peacefulness inside you. Open your eyes, take a moment to reflect how you feel and what you have seen and experienced. Go on with your day!! Note: If by chance you are having a hard tymeseeing the light or having it grow, it is ok. Because it will happen as you practice each day. Start each day allowing yourself 15 minutes quiet tyme. As each week goes on, increase the tyme 5 minutes min. Many people that follow Yoga, Buddha, Hindu, say 45 minutes 2 times a day is required. Again, go at your own pace. Your growth is determined by your effort into doing the things that you put into it. Remember, Healing is the desire for us all, it is Love. This includes that Love that have for ourselves.
